BHO Admits He's a Socialist

Barack Hussein Obama admits that in his view tax policy is less about revenue and more about "fairness," so even if you collect less revenue, it's better to punish the evil "rich" (anyone with a job basically under liberals' definition) than to let people enjoy the fruits of their labor. Can one of you libs do me a favor and answer the folloiwng questions: (1) where does the government get the moral authority to take the fruits of one person's labor and give them to another? (In 1850, we had a system like that in the southern states. You may have heard it. We called it "slavery." (2) Why is letting someone keep the money he or she earns "giving" them something, as in the hackneyed and idiotic liberal mantra "tax cuts for the rich?"

I have a hard time believing that a president who only raised the minimum wage by a tiny bit is a socialist. That just seems hilarious to me.

P.S. The Roman Empire fell because the wealth gap contributed to economic collapse. Rome didn't fall because of socialism; it fell because of inequality and the inability of its citizens to stimulate the economy through spending.

When Communist Russia collapsed in the 80's the communists took off their military uniforms, put on suits and jackets, and called themselves "Democratically elected socialists." Russia has democratic elections to elect their leaders. With regards to the difference between socialism/communism, the differences are negligible. BOTH are founded in the principals of Karl Marx.

Russia/The Soviet Union is a democratic socialist state. Are you REALLY trying to claim that the Soviet political model is more moral than the US Political model? If so, then your argument fails on its face as (Obama administration aside), the Soviet government is one of the more corrupt governments in the world.

Ok let's address your argument on TWO levels:

1) you claim that free market capitalism is unattainable AND that democratic socialism is the only moral system.

THIS argument fails because free market capitalism does not exist because the progressives/democratic socialists/ or in my country, the "left" interferes with the market through laws and regulations to try to get the outcomes they desire. So essentially your saying we can't have free markets because YOUR ideology cannot (continued)...

That's an argument communists/socialists always raise but they fail to acknowledge that the market hasn't been free from government control/influence since before the the late 1800's/early 1900's.

FREE MARKET capitalism does not fail. However, the markets have not been FREE in a long time.
