This forum, entitled "The Power of Youth Voice," brought together experts in digital media and learning to share their research and experiences using digital media in and outside of the classroom. Speakers included: Renee Hobbs, Founder, Media Education Lab, Temple University; Nichole Pinkard, Founder, Digital Youth Network and DePaul University professor; Elyse Eidman-Aadahl, Director, National Programs and Site Development, National Writing Project; Moderator: Connie Yowell, Director of Education, MacArthur Foundation.

  • Thank you for sharing this panel's presentations. I was interested in YouMedia project and hearing Nichole Pinkard talk about remixing and tapping into the literacies that students are developing

  • I love this investigation, i hope the games will be more educatives and more fun.

  • Great webcast to showcase the stages of digital media through our time and how the tools and methods are transforming educator and student learning. This would make a a wonderful PD in service for K-12 staff, to provide the big picture overview of understanding the positive potential of digital media and universal authorship in the classroom.
