Ive never really been a fan of later dead (post 72, though Blues for Allah was one of my favorite albums) until I saw a DSO show a few weeks ago, it was an 82 and it really opened my eyes to decades of the dead I had previously ignored. I just turned 18, was a year and a half old when jerry died. But Since that show Ive been searching more later stuff, and this recording blows me away every time Thank you for posting, and thanks DSO for opening up my eyes, though im still learning to see ;)

Love the stories! First show at Ventura, CA. Took another 2 Goony Bird and shook hands with my ass. I'm pretty sure I'm not the same since the second set of that show. I mean, seriously, I wanted just a blotter and this guy accidentally spills his little vial on my wrist and coupled with my first dose I pretty much checked out. I remember 'Sugaree' but that's it. I woke up on the banks of the 101 FWY the next day and had Ice Plant for breakfast. it's a little tough but tasty. Could've been worse

@graybeard19 I know that show you saw its a goodie! '77 in my mind was one of their best years and I'd have
given anything to seen them then so you got one up on me! All the great music is there for us to hear and that is a gift too brother so ENJOY!!

Will never forget my first show St. Paul '83. Made it to the first row of seats in front of the stage and there was one empty seat next to the aisle. I stood on it and had the best seat in the house! Dosing hard when Bobby sang "It's dizzying the possibilities" it was one of THOSE moments. Just for me, profound and an epiphany. Will never forget it as long as I live!
