  • does it hurt to inject your self???were u scared the first time?

  • Well, I can say that it doesn't hurt as much as one might think but, it does hurt a little.

The first time I had to do it, I hesitated for about 5 minutes staring at the needle and staring at my skin wondering how in hell I was going to stick a needle through it.

But, they need to be done at the same time each night so, I figured I better get on with it. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

  • Some good tips in there. Can I just ask what it is you're mixing with follistim in your case?

    Bea

  • I am mixing 400iu of follistim with 150iu of Bravelle.

  • i was on menopur and pregnol and i got pregnant twice the first baby born to early but the second is a sweet little boy 2 years old now i going again now now starting my meropur

  • WOW! I give it to you woman! you are brave, I couldn't do that!! We are TTC, with clomid, hopefully I won't have to go any further. Good luck!

  • I would mind telling my weight but, I wouldn't mind telling you that my BMI was 46 when I started Weight Watchers and it was 40 when I started the IVF cycle.

    Yes to the baby aspirin.

And, I did acupuncture for the second IVF but, I really didn't feel like it helped. If anything, it was more stressful because it was yet another appointment I had to keep.

  • For the smoothies, I just got different frozen fruits with no sugar added- just plain. I used greek yogurt along with the fruit and I added flax oil and liquid B vitamins and some water and an icecube or two.

  • No, I followed the Weight Watcher guidelines for points and the 8 healthy guidelines for what types of food to eat. I had been doing it before the cycle so, I just continued.

  • I just added a slice or two of fresh pineapple to the smoothies.

And yes, my shots were a mix of a lot of ingredients. But, it isn't a big deal once you get used to it. This was my third IVF cycle so, I was pretty used to it by the time I taped this video.

I have already had my retrieval and transfer.

For my cycles, I paid $24,000 for three including ICSI. Plus, $900 per cycle for bloodwork and then, of course, I paid for medications.
