Oakland Cemetery is one of Atlanta's Oldest and most historic Cemeteries. This is the final resting place of 24 Mayors of Atlanta and several governors. Margret Mitchell and Bobby Jones are also buried here. There is a Jewish section and a paupers field. There are also thousands of Unknown Confederate dead who were moved to the cemetery ten years after the was. A man paid one dollar a piece to anyone who brought a Confederate Soldier to the be buried. They were removed from battlefields and mass graves in the trenches around the Battle of Atlanta. Really, a must see and tour. Go to the visitors center and get a map or take a guided tour. Makes one realize that life is so short and people are very fragile.
The word "cemetery" is misspelled at the beginning of the video. Just thought you might like to know.

Beautiful photography. I work at the Oakland V/C as a volunteer. Would love to see you do another slide show incorporating images of the famous permanent residents. Thanks so much for what you have done- Mike Tanner
