My Oasis

This is how my pond looks for the summer of 2011. It has taken me about 8+ years to get it to this stage. The pond has 600lbs of liner inside after I dug down 4 feet. The original pond was built and then my wife wanted an extension and also to have a dock and foot bridge so the fish could swim under the bridge. The fish live in the pond year round and for the winter we have a heater which melts a hole in the ice for gases to escape and a bubbler. The pond consists of 15000 lbs of assorted rock around the pond to help with plants and to hold the liner. We have comets and koi fish living inside along with snails. Martial arts videos will be coming soon.

I missed this video you posted. I have a camera and will try and take a photo of the bird feeder Mike made to keep out squirrels and mail it to you. As you know, it's made of stainless steel. No baffler needed. Squirrel arms are too short to get a grip and get inside. The top is wider than the seed tray and keeps the seed dry. It looks like a flying saucer, but the birds love it. Especially as they pass here during migration. Plenty of food here in the woods for squirrels.
