Despite what many people are saying about hashtags on Facebook, it isn't true. In fact, hashtags do and can work on Facebook. Its just that they work a little differently.
In order to get hashtags to work on Facebook, you have to use Fanpages. By placing the # symbol in front of the title of you page and tagging that page, hashtags are created.
This way, the hashtag becomes hyper linked and can be clicked and there you can see all of the comments about what ever the hashtag topic is.
It does require slightly more work, the fact being that you have to like the page first or create a whole page before using them but personally I think that this is better.
This way, only important hashtags are used and created.
