To Hillberg100, showing your ignorance, or stupidity. The sheriff is a county official, elected at large. He does not work for the city of Los Angeles or the mayor. He is not appointed he is elected. He answers only to the electorate. He does have to get his budget through the county board of supervisors but does not answer to them on policy matters. LAPD handles the city of Los Angeles and they answer to the mayor.

REMINDS ME OF MY ARMY BASIC TRAINING. THEY DO THIS TO THE RECRUITS TO SEE IF THEY CAN HANDLE STRESS. IF U CANT HANDLE SOMEONE YELLING IN YOUR FACE IN A STRUCTURED ENVIRONMENT, YOUR NOT GOING TO MAKE IT ON THE STREETS.

@RunninPimp Being a crab fisherman is more dangerous than law enforcement though. Most people really put an emphasis on how dangerous a cops job really is. 30 LEOs are killed a year. 200 military personnel are killed a year.
