Hi,
I'm sorry this has taken so long to publish. I've had some computer issues, and have just completed rebuilding my system.

It's now 145 days since I purchased this McDonald's hamburger and put it on this plate.

I've been keeping the hamburger on the counter, right where you saw it a moment ago.

I did this because I saw an article about someone who kept one for 137 days, and claimed it hadn't decomposed.

I didn't believe the claim.

Here's what I've discovered. The burger hasn't rotted.
I don't think it's because of any radiation, preservatives, or exotic polymer fillers.

I think it's looking OK because it's just dried out, much like freeze dried astronaut food. It's probably still edible.

It has changed quite a bit. It shrank in size. The bun looks less appetizing.
The fries have left a curious little oil patina on the plate, and they look desiccated.

The hamburger isn't stuck to the buns, as it was a month or so into the challenge.

The funny thing is, I'm always hungry, and I've walked by this burger several times and thought... Maybe I could... It doesn't look that bad.

To be moldy, or rot it would have to be in a moist environment, and it would need to be in a sealed bag.

I suspect that if I'd put a baloney sandwich on the plate with it, it would have given the same results.

Well, that's the end of this test. The burger goes into the trash.

I am going to compare an Iphone 3g with the new Droid. I've been using a 3g for more than 2 years, and I converted to a Samsung Nexus S about a month ago.
I think I've had enough time with it that I can do a fair comparison of the two.
I'm going to talk about features and usability "out of the box" rather than comparing these, with additional apps.

I should have this posted within a week.

This movie was filmed with an Insignia NS-DV1080P and edited with Windows Live Movie Maker on Windows 7, using untrained monkeys as editors (me, mostly).

Sorry for the construction noise, and low volume.
