www.lmnarchitects.com As a composition of smaller parts, the common spaces of this building serve to extend and connect a campus landscape replete with diverse academic experience. The Foster School of Business is located at the convergence of disparate campus plans and existing buildings. PACCAR Hall is the first phase of a multi-phase project to transform the current collection of outdated business school facilities into a cohesive, interconnected education complex. The design interweaves program and community space in support of the schools highly interactive, entrepreneurial culture—and extends that experience to engage the life of the broader campus. Integrated sustainable design provisions of this LEED Silver project include extensive day-lighting throughout classrooms, offices and common areas; displacement HVAC; indirect evaporative cooling; water conservation measures and a living roof. With respect to the scale, texture and proportion of nearby historic campus buildings, a modern articulation will reinforce the dynamic social qualities and futuristic nature of contemporary business education.
