Highlights from the 1968 college All-Americans : Lew Alcindor from UCLA, Larry Miller (UNC), Pete Maravich (LSU), Wes Unseld (Louisville) and Elvin Hayes (Houston).
@zekest true, and you could say he had a disadvantage with Championships cuz he played against the 60's Celtics, but i would still put Kareem as the best
Hayes was national POY for some, yet failed to make the all NCAA final 4 team. Seems Larry Miller made it along with 4 Bruins because UCLA totally dominated Houston in teh semi's. UCLA had a 44 point lead when Wooden cleared the bench withj 5 minutes left in the game
The defense really hustled back on that play starting about 1:00. How can a guy start under his own basket, lope down the court, and be standing alone under the basket for a layup?
Miller shot 25 of 39 from the field, missing his lone three point attempt, and used his pump fakes to draw a lot of fouls, connecting on 17 of 23 free throw attempts. He also had eight rebounds and four assists while playing 46 of a possible 48 minutes. Millers point totals by quarter were 21, 17, 20 and nine. Miller concludes, Its kind of nice to have a record that will never be broken (since the ABA no longer exists).

Was that Charlie Scott who tried to drive for a layup with Alcindor standing right there?
There's bravery, and then there's foolishness.
