k can sumone who understands wht this song deeply means explain to me in DETAIL cuz i got a project on this im confused bout sum stuf for ex: what does thom york^ mean when he says the more you try the eraser the more that you appear?& Pharrells verse bout the va tech apparently it has a double meaning with a whole lot of metaphors buh i cant see em. i would guess "tech 9" and "tech" as in the college name that got sprayed but these are just guesses

I don't know if you're still doing the project, but I'll share my thoughts on the line "the more you try to erase me the more I appear." I think it's saying they use criticism as fuel and motivation to make themselves better artists...when someone tells them they can't do something, or it isn't good enough ("The more you try to erase me.."), it just pushes them to a higher level to prove that person wrong ("..the more I appear.")
