  • Is it just in Vancouver or is it in other parts of British Columbia.

  • No they don't. Go to West Vancouver, BC and you don't see barriers/gates or anything. Just "X" sign and it says "Train crossing. Stop, look, listen. Cross at your own risk. CN".

  • Wadaya mean by that? I thought there were barriers, or as we call them, gates in Canada.

  • P.S Go to Canada. You don't even see barriers...

  • Some major crossing has lights on the barries.

Train companies are starting to close the rail crossing by moving rail tracks underground or by elevating. Sign you see around 1:39 is about rail crossing being closed since they are elevating rail tracks above the ground level..

  • I wish Japan would use better crossing gate barriers than what they use. I wish they were wider, and possibly rectangular. The black and yellow striping is fine. And it would help if there were lights on the barriers just like here in the US.

  • tokyo has so many train routes
