I am a fan of USA basketball, and, yes, we have been declining since the great 1990s teams were broken up due to old age, lack of desire, etc. This would have been a hell of a game to go to. Props to Germany for staying in it against superior talent.

Were you pulling for the USA or Germany? You were cheering during Nowitzki's show and Iverson's shot, so I couldn't tell.

my heart was with germany, but you can't be no fan of us basketball. even if 2004 was a hard time for team usa. all the guys who didn't play for any reason. but this few seconds was just confusion of feelings. nobody was still believing that dirk could tie the game. was icredible. and iversons half court shot was just crazy. one moment later you just recognized that this was really special and just a great game.
