Windows NT 4.0 running under Bochs 2.3.7 PC emulator on a Nokia N900 phone. Very slow as you can see, but works! Took a lot of time to figure out the combination of build parameters and configuration options for Bochs though.

  • Nope... would be nice to avoid scratches, but then again it would prevent use of the phone so not so great ..

  • Run win 2000 professional and Sql Server Express?

  • Win 2000 prof is certainly possible, though of course even slower.. and why not Sql Server Express if you really have the time to wait for it.. :)

  • Why do it? Because we can! (geek credo)

  • Just goes to show.

the iPod Touch/iPhone doesn't have as much potential (no... not marketing potential...) as the N900.

    bios no bootable device

  • @XareSoft

It's just a virtual machine. This must be a 64-bit version of Windows NT 4,0.

  • 3 people get sick of iOS

  • @skrbicdu you'll note that the win95-iphone3g story broke just about or after i wrote that comment...

  • this phone has an arm processor, so you cant run x86 os on it :P

  • Thank god for the mute button.

  • @88PROMAX hi deb files are just like exe file for linux debian based .easydebian can let you have a desktop like linux environement on your n900.for the dictionnary i don't know about that but i camed across several apps that do that on the repositories but i have all of them enabled(extras-devel and exttras testing with FAP not the default app manager) just googled that and Qstardict seems recommended for a dictinnary app.
