Mega Man X1 - No Dash/Damage Sigma's Fortress Boss Rush - I

This is the first part of the follow-up to the eight maverick rush seen in the video this is a response to. It consists of Vile through to Velgauder Sigma, done in the spirit of having no upgrades.

However, as is evidenced, X has the Arm Upgrade. This is because, unlike bypassing the Leg Upgrade with passwords, there are no passwords which bypass the first Fortress stage, meaning you can't avoid getting the upgrade from Zero.

At any rate, it makes no significant amount of difference overall, as the true point of these battles is to complete them without the dash, which is held true here. Also, the third X-buster shot is necessary to damage Velgauder Sigma.

This proved to be as if not more difficult than the eight Mavericks. Although Sigma's first form, and perhaps Randga Bandga, are the only easy rides, the ones that stick out as hardest are Vile and D-Rex. As Velgauder Sigma can get boring, I tried mixing things up slightly by using an admittedly well known trick to avoid damage in the battle and showboated a tad near the end.

Again, apologies are made to those bothered by the somewhat inconsistent sprite animation (sometimes attacks won't flash properly, or linger, ect.), although I don't believe it is as persistent here. 60 fps games don't lend themselves well to ancient an computer's video processing.

i found the spider the hardest boss to beat besides sigma. everything else was really easy except for sigma

i hate the wall, he used this god damned move in this game and x5 to make spikes appear on the wall your on for instikill

pretty nice. trying to go for no armor but zero gives you his buster. i thought his was stronger but it looks like the one you get from dr. light.
