  • Well. Costumes, stage direction and dances absolutely great. Good voices. But I must say it´s so weird to listen to a Verdi opera translated to English!!! It´s a bit ridiculous. Nothing against the English language. I love it. But opera must be performed in the original language!!!

  • Must? Who says? Everyone is entitled to their preferences or prejudices, but there's no rule, and there's a very strong case for audience comprehension in a musical drama, without being distracted by reading sub-captions.

  • I never like any opera to be transelated to english. No offense to English language but it just loses the drama.

  • Borsa= Baldrick in this prod. Nice voice, Duca, but worry for your high Bs in the later acts if you can't manage the Bb here...

  • I dislike most English Opera. I like this You Tube Clip, this production is campy and the cast looks as if they are enjoying it.

  • true. it all boils down to personal opinion.
