Some clubs fees are more expensive than others, mine costs about $250/year. My ammo I reload for about $6/box(50) versus $20/box to buy.
Match entry is about $40 or $50 per two day event unless it's a major match then it can be alot more ($200+ for the Australian Nationals).
They do have rifle and shotgun IPSC but you can't use semi-auto rifles or pump action shotguns because of the law. My major expense would be travel because I don't live in a major city.

G'day mate,
Interested in getting involved in IPSC at the St Ives club. As a general question what do you reckon it would costs you per event in terms of ammunition, entrance fees, club fees, licence fee's etc?
Also, do they ever do IPSC with long weapons, either rifle or shotgun?

That was worth watching...

Oh, yeah geez. It really makes it look bad doesn't it? It's a name of a band I want to make unless someone steals the name first hahaha. Cos I play heavy metal guitar.

Just don't mention your YouTube username at the gun club, you'll make people nervous. :)
