Cute Tarsiers!!!

The Philippine Tarsiers

Tarsiers are small animals with enormous eyes and very long hind limbs. Their feet have extremely elongated tarsus bones, from which the animals get their name. The head and body range from 10 to 15 cm in length, but the hind limbs are about twice this long (including the feet), and they also have a slender tail from 20 to 25 cm long.

Their fingers are also elongated, with the third finger being about the same length as the upper arm. Most of the digits have nails, but the second and third toes of the hind feet bear claws instead, which are used for grooming.

Tarsiers have very soft, velvety fur, which is generally buff, beige, or ochre in color.

Unlike other prosimians, tarsiers have no tooth-comb, and their dental formula is also unique.

they are so cute but also endangered. They're nocturnal. therefore, humans interrupt them during the day when they should be sleeping. Also, they are known to commit suicide under captivity. There eyes are for night time vision - therefore a flash from a camera damages their eyesight or can cause blindness. It's too bad these creatures may go extinct within our life time - yet they have existed - unchanged - for approximately 45 million years.

Don't they know that if they keep on disturbing and annoying the hell out of these animals then it will lead to the animal's own dismay? Giving stress to these animals will make them go Suicidal! They're going to Bang the crap out of their head against the cage until they die if they get traumitized! One flash of a camera will make them go loco!

Hope that the owner of this vid might well include in the description that those tarsiers is nocturnal animals; they should be sleeping during the day. For the sake of those who are not aware of that fact might have their minds enlightened. Sorry to say but videos like this shows a strong evident that humans are also to blame why these creatures continue to extinct.
