You are clearly a culinary NOOB. Do you seriously think eggs have always been refrigerated? we keep them cool to safely store them for 2 months, every egg that you buy has spent at least a full day at room temp somewhere along the line. Secondly, you are a NOOB in terms of nature- Fruit flies are attracted to rotting, fermenting produce, which is why you use cider vinegar to catch them.
