A democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner

In a constitutional Republic both the sheep and wolves have the right to bear arms

simple democracy, as purported to us by the mass media is a terrible form of government, as the masses are generally molding clay for the fanciest talking politician

in the United states there is supposed to be a Republic, (senate judicial executive) and the people are to vote on their representation... Democracy leads to tyranny every time

@HeyItzMeDawg What's republicanism more than just democracy with a fancy new name. Anarchy? Nope, your voice is not heard when there's anarchy. Only you and people with similar opinions can hear your voice, because it's everyone for himself.

In a democracy, if 51% of people think you should shut up, you shut up... or you get shot. So no, democracy doesn't do that.

You know what makes democracy unique from all the other forms of government? Freedom of speech and the ability for minorities to have their opinions heard and judged fairly, but I guess for a nation ruled by the mass media, this is too hard to understand.

Well this people is confused, democracy is NOT your voice heard, you must first belong to the majority of opinion. For example Galileo thought the Earth was not the center of the universe, but the rest of the people thought it was, so Galileo's opinion (actually science fact) was not heard during his life time. A Republic on the other hand is a system where minorities are heard and protected.
