  • The jovial/upbeat music doesn't seem to fit well with the destruction taking place from this storm.

  • Good footage, ridiculous and offensive music.

  • I know it's bad to say it but I want to go through a hurricane. Idk why? Most of my friends said they want have the experience of being in a hurricane. I live in Hawaii. People tell me they went through hell. But I just want to get it over with it.

  • @SabbathMan8815 as someone who survived iniki i can only say it's fucking hilarious

  • no1: I'm with ya, I miss Kauai, too....badly! I actually loved the isolation in being out in the middle of the Pacific ....less pollution, less crowd, less crime! Just can't afford the outrageously high cost of real estate there, a major reason, if not THE reason, for why many people reluctantly leave the paradise of HI. Take care & may God bless you, also!

  • No kidding, I dont blame you, I saw pictures and heard from my husband what Kauai was like. Living in Hawaii you think you are ok, but you are very vulnerable to so many things there in the middle of the ocean. God Bless, I hope nothing like that ever happens to you again.

    Aloha.....ohhhh how I miss it.

  • I learned after living thru Iniki how personal it is. Even mention of it now, 17 yrs later, still stirs my emotions. Getting a bag of ice after Iniki was like winning the lotto. Iniki was a scary, but fascinating experience I won't forget. I'll always be so grateful to the relief agencies, & the military, who came to our aid quickly. We needed them badly, & they didn't let us down.

  • Ahhh we were in Kailua, it was mainly terrible winds and rain, no power. Our house was fine. But my husband went with the Marines to Kauai to help clean up and he told me how it was over there. I will never forget the sky on that Friday, this weird purple color, and the sirens all screaming. It was scary as hell, no question about it, even though we ended up fine.

  • no1: Read your post. I was living in Princeville when "Iniki" hit. What a powerful hurricane, huh?? Most people on U.S. Mainland still aren't aware of how devastating this storm was. I was lucky; my home fared better than so many others on the island. After going without electricity for 3 weeks, I complained no more about the high cost of electricity in Hawaii. Ha! How was the "Iniki experience" for you?

  • was that the music to girls gone wild

  • the juxtaposition of the music with the hurricane seems hilariously inappropriate. not to mention that it's more Caribbean than Hawaiian
