Are Israel and the Church the same people or two separate people according to scripture?

  • Hooray! Well done Brother Gary.

I too, wasted a number of years as a young Christian trying to reconcile the Dispensationalist nonsense I was being taught with Scripture, only to find it CANNOT be done!

There IS only ONE People of God to whom He is Husband, for God is no polygamist.

And those people are those Jews & Gentiles who have faith in Christ.

  • Although this is one of my life goals, to help revolutionize the understanding of eschatology in the church, it is not a matter of primary orthodoxy.

I don't consider it "waste time" to wrestle with an issue before drawing a conclusion. Otherwise our entire life would be one colossal waste because all of us hold to error on something.

  • No, actually Israel shall be the Father's wife and the Church shall be Jesus'! That's what I've been taught. ;-)

  • According to Scofield, during the millennium Jesus is reigning on earth on a throne at Jerusalem -- an earthly kingdom -- with the Jews for a literal 1000 years.

The Christians would have been raptured during the tribulation period meeting Christ in the air and then returning with him to earth several years after that.

Then during the millennium there are immortal resurrected saints reigning on earth with Christ among mortals.

Saints who previously died are in heaven with the Father.

  • Anyone who believes in Jesus is a Jew.....there is only one people of God's ...not two

  • Hear Israel speak in person at the 4th annual Worldview Super Conference, held JULY 21 - 24, 2010, Marietta GA! Registration starting at just $164 includes all sessions, performances, provided meals, and workshops.

  • i got kicked out of "church" when i was 8 for asking to many question and not just believing it has never made any sence to me even at that age evelution made more sence

  • Most people don't no the difference between the House of Israel and the House of Judah and that God divorces the House of Israel and points out the harlotry of Judah and will be punished like a priest's daughter...burned and stoned (70ad). Read Hosea. Amos 3:3 Can two walk together unless the be agreed? Dispys say they can. If you be in Christ, then are you Abraham's seed. Welcome to the new Covenant folks and the circumcision of the heart. Soli Deo Gloria!

  • What a breath of fresh air!

  • According to the Dispensationalist's system, there are 2 distinct groups of God's people: Israel and the Church. This is contrary to what Scripture teaches. There is only one "God's People" and no distinction between Israel and Church. All must come to Christ to enter the Kingdom of God.

  • One only needs to read the post-exilic minor prophets to see that Demars statement, "There is nothing stateted in the bible of Israel's recontitution to the land" to be false.

Isa 11:11 says:In that day the Lord will reach out his hand "A SECOND TIME" to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea."

A second time? From all these places?

    Not true Demar...

  • Jesus and the Father are united, they are interconnected, they are NOT synonymous.

"I come forth FROM the Father"

"The Father is greater than myself"

And man and his wife are one flesh---they are not

synonymous. Adam was not Eve. They were united and were recongnised therafter as one flesh.

Jesus is made of God substance, and is the Son of God. "Who do you say that I am", The Son of God" and Jesus agrees. He came forth from the father.

He was not talking to Himself on the cross.

  • Thee Elect refers to the people of God and the gentile that was grafted in are those who are not Israel but become Israel when they take the covenant which is fellowshipping into the house of god.

  • "All of God's word is for all of God's people all the time". - Brad Scott

You are either God's or you are not. It's that simple.
