Embarrassing Bodies - Malassezia Fur Fur

Businesswoman Stephanie dropped into the mobile clinic to seek advice on an unsightly pigmentation that has sent her back rather patchy. Dr Christian diagnoses Malassezia Fur Fur, a common fungus that grows on the surface of the skin which affects the production of melanin in the body. Dr Christian recommends an anti-fungal body scrub that should kill the fungus and restore Stephanie's skin to its former glory with repeated use.

This new series explores the conditions and ailments that leave many of us a little red-faced and aims to de-stigmatise common complaints. Three doctors -- Dawn Harper, Christian Jessen and Pixie McKenna -- will be throwing open the doors of the clinic in a bid to tackle each condition head on, while attempting to take away the sting of shame.
