The point is: Standard AR's are illegal to hunt with in Africa. You can't use them, ever. A single shot IS legal and was used with success.

his rifle is a .308 with the mag well soild. its a straight pull back with larger ejection port and also another opening on the left side of the upper to alow load from both sides i believe. also TMHonfire and poofy06 dmps never made this a production rifle it was a one of a kind for Randy Luth so there was no dumb mistake.

i dont like hunting predators, especially big cats like leopards. im not saying you cant, i just feel like predators dont have a rapid enough breeding cycle that would allow them to be hunted like prey animals like deer or rabbits or something of that sort. big cats are just too special to shoot for trophy

is this a true single shot loaded from the ejection port one at a time, or is it straight pull like we have in the UK loading from a standard magazine?

I think that it is a great idea. Never could fathom the idea of a single shot AR but if that is what the situation requires, So Be it. I love my DPMS AR (AP4 Carbine, can be seen in my videos) and if this is an inexpensive, legal way to hunt, I would do it. Great video, Great lighting effects 5 Stars Definitely

Or, you could be stuck living in PA, where we can't hunt with semi-auto anything. I think it has a place. Is it going to be the end all beat all rifle? Hells no. Would it be a blast to take a deer in PA with an AR? You bet, especially if I can hang all my toys off it.

I think Its great everyone should relize that in America you can have a semi auto cool gun. But in Africa you cant I think that some one who showed the world that you can hunt the world with a rifle that dont cost thousands of dollars is great. Maybe one day if i am lucky I can go to Africa and I would buy one. I shoot a Ar's as a primary rifle Semi auto is great but I dont think he was trying to promote single shot rifles.

Iv'e seen the cost of rifles you can hunt in Africa...You can buy a house in the USA, or anywhere else in the world for some of them.

I would certainly hunt Africa with an AR platform anytime.

Ya but the real market is in the USA not in Africa, and ya Poofy06 is right a single shot AR-15 is a wast of time and money, I know the point but from a gun manufacturer this is a dumb move and will not make money from this....
