This video was shot looking down on an oil & gas well equipped with a Vortex DX-R (downhole wireline retrievable) tool.

This is a splice of several hours worth of real-time video. The initial shots show the top of the DX-R tool and the camera is then pulled up the tubing string. Note that this Vortex tool sets up a stable swirling flow, allowing the well to flow well below the critical rate. Once the gas is lifted back above critical, the visual swirl dissipates, but the benefits set up by the Vortex DX-R tool remain. Please also note that Vortex added no soap to this well. The Vortex DX-R tool simply brought up residual soap that was at the bottom of the well and subsequent tests have shown this tool can reduce surfactant use by up to 50%.
