I can't explain what this song meant to me. It was my childhood through the teens, that country side, small town, my wonderful grandparents, my wonderful Mom and Dad - all those memories, which I pray my own 10 recall some of. I first heard this on a radio station in Mobile, Alabama, 92.1 fm, played by a DJ named Catt Sirten, back in 1996 (and according to his website radio avalon, he's playing it this weekend). I play this song every year on Christmas, and it never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Thank you for creating this and sharing it, I do appreciate it!
