Well, I don't believe this Ancient Astronaut thoery....at least not at Von Daniken's extant. The way I see it is that an aliens who noticed that earth had lifeforms had the same curiosity that has helped man get so far as he has. They see life and think, "Wow, this is great. Let's go look." They see how unique Earth life is, so they do what human scientists would do when finding new species. They say "Let's keep an eye on this, see what happens."

Now thats a interesting theory the time travel one

Check out the ludicrous claims at 1:50 about the Cruxifiction fresco at the Visoki Decani Monastery.
I'm sure to those unfamiliar with conventions of Byzantine art, it might look a little like spaceships, but Byzantine art often displayed the sun and the moon in frescoes as anthropomorphic, humanized figures.
By the way, Rod calls it an "aerial battle." Yet there are no such signs in art an aerial battle is taking place at all.
I can't stand the historically ignorant lying about our past.

@AlexIsonSanders Ha ha! Remember what Belloq said from Raiders of the Lost Ark?
"Jones, do you realize what the Ark is? It's a transmitter, it's a radio for speaking to God, and it's within my reach."
"You want to talk to God? Let's go see Him together, I've got nothing better to do."
-
or maybe ancient cultures foresaw OUR future
-
the most current idea is that the Ark is actually concealed under Golgotha/Calvary,just outside Jerusalem, where Jesus' blood would have fallen on the Mercy Seat, and provided the ultimate spotless sacrifice.
-
@AlexIsonSanders ...apparently it was nuclear powered as well like the manna machine that kept moses and the israelites alive in the desert for 40 years by feeding them green algae...wow
-
Ive watched the original Chariots of the Gods and honestly that narrator has the most boring voice known to man...thankfully Rod can keep my interest in this version.

You can't travel back in time, only forward.
What if modern man just learns time travel and those are depictions of us going back to witness ancient cultures?
O.o
Or what if ancient cultures just had kick ass imaginations for good sci-fi stories?
