I bet Feynman would like MasterDonut a lot more than most of the other commenters. I am always surprised to see apparently intelligent people (or, at least, they seem to be inteligent, since they're watching Feynman videos) with no patience for smiling

As the person who posted this video, I'd like to say that I found MasterDonut's original comment very funny. And I do think Feynman might well have found it funny too!

Mess of wood*
Oh man, does that interfere with your penis joke? Damn, it's almost like he's talking about science and not making childish jokes for children to decipher in the comments of a Youtube video...

Normally, when I hear my friends and relations discuss things like sports and reality shows, and I see them fight about these stupid things, I get really depressed. In these days, I come home, go on youtube and watch Feynman's videos. Then, I still think there is hope for our species. Thanks Dick. You are really a special person.

I wish he could have explained this to me when I was younger. I always wondered just what it was that made fires burn and no one could ever explain it to me. His explanation would have been perfect for me to understand as a child.

All this done without any graphs, charts or 3D animation. Or angle changes. Or soundtrack. Golden

"Spreading misinformation" because he said "mess of" instead of "massive"? What a healthy sense of humor you got. And he didn't reduce anything, he added a joke. Also, I didn't claim to be intelligent. I said that I assume most commenters on a video about Feynman were intelligent people, which is quite different. Your comment, though, does me feel smart, I have to say

I am always surprised to see intelligent people (or, at least, they think they're intelligent because they watch videos on Youtube.. yeah...) who would defend spreading misinformation.
It's not so much that his comment was unfunny, but there is so much in this video to love and smile about.. to reduce that awesome experience to a misinformed low-brow joke, well that's just too sad.

I love this series. I wish I could find it somewhere to download or buy; I'm afraid that one day it'll get deleted for some reason.
