District 9: Great! Must see.
Inglourious Basterds: Best movie I saw in 2009. Must see.

The Final Destination: Fun 3D, lame sequel. Pass on 2D.

You are completely wrong about District 9. They did the perfect hybrid between documentary and convention alien sci fi action. The documentary style definitely enhances the realism and immersion into the film world, makes the entire plot much more believable and the audience sympathizes with the protagonist even more.
Inglorious Basterd was excellent, until the ending. I have a passion in history and I believe changing history in the film is just distasteful and disrespectful.
