@gunnarkerr I don't think there is a city in China called tinjin. I do know there is a place in China called Tian Jin.

Even though, this sort of candy making is rare (even in China), I think that this man could be making this candy anywhere. For all you know he may be making it in Taiwan. This sort of candy making is not only practiced in China.

However, I think it's most probably in China. The people talking in this video have a very China Chinese accent.
