F-35 is useless

First, US system is broken, as these companies are trying to get as much taxpayers dollars as possible, and not necessarily make the most capable platform. Secondly, most retired US generals and aerospace specialists agree that F-35 is a disaster. It was supposed to be a low weight, low cost, modular dominance platform, but it is all but. Lacks payload, loiter time, modular improvements, and it has a ton of problems, super cruise. It is outrageously expensive, and it does not deliver.

@maydayfire The F-22's have done pretty well against all of the soviet aircraft in Operation Red Flag. It also has done well against our fourth-generation jets as well.

@ozzy1351 Read about russian antiair systems,and new plane radars,stealth is nothing for them.It is good only against some countries with an old outdated soviet weapons.There was training in Germany USA pilots on FA-18C(modernized in the end of 80s) vs German pilots on Mig-29(fulcrum-A, soviet planes with last modofocation in the end of 70s.It was somwhere in 1997-1999.And read conclusion of "Farnborough International 98"about russian mig 29 and its weaponry.One of the best planes in the world.

@ozzy1351 I really bellieve, that you are not so stupid to see differents between modernized mig 29 of RF,and an old mig 29 of Iraq.And I you must understand, that there is a big differents between pilots of Russia and Iraq.It is like tanks, russia still has t-72,but they cannot be compared to an old Iraqi shit.And USA stealth technology based on Ufmitsev book was outdated many years ago, remeber war in Serbia?In 1999 F-117 was shot down with an old soviet S-125.Now Russia has S-400.

@maydayfire The USA has been fighting two wars in the last 10-years.....three if you count the first Gulf War! How did all those Russian fighters V. USA warplanes hold up? When was the last time a Russian or Chinese warplane operated in a warzone and engage a target?

@yankee22167 About "russians make crap"....NO russia makes really awesome warmachines.Especially planes.BTW there was one friendly visit to some USA airbase of russian planes,with russian pilots,there they had a little "airgame" and russian planes won...find it in the web.

@yankee22167 USA never fought against modern russian planes,especially against russian pilots.USA always fights with a help of NATO against poor army countries with an old soviet outdated planes, tanks, etc.For example Iraq.Old planes, old tanks specially papermade for Iraq, with a shells, that were written of from soviet army in 70s.But in simulation airwars against russian planes,that are not even piloted by russians, you always loose.
