The point of this video is not to really demonstrate my play on Dynamite Rave. It's mainly just to show the new vocals, as well as to demonstrate that these new cabinets just do not work well. I think I got 80-100 greats and 12 misses. If you watch the pads lighting up when I step on them, you may notice that they sometimes either do not respond at all, or lag. (Even on easy songs, I am hitting straight on the beat, and greats will randomly appear in streams of Marvelous.) So, I like the game, but the pads, audio/visual lag, and announcer are awful.

I played 10-15 rounds today, and got a grand total of one AA the whole time. Terrific.

  • yo! this is lasertag adventure right? i was just playing there last night and my only complaint was them having the volume ridiculously low + blasting fucking katy perry through there shitty speakers.

  • @puppydrowner147 Yeah, that's where it is. The video is pretty old, though -- I haven't been there in a long time.

  • That 1-R arrow seemed especially contentious.

  • o-o

I'm not used to this design. Especially with the Guitar Hero Arcade bass lights used (and yes, Konami released a genuine Guitar Hero arcade game in cooperation with Activision and Raw Thrills).

I took a gander at the original Japanese DDRX cabinet and it looks flashier than this -- LED light stands and all. I made note of this in a Notepad file covering lots of games.

  • @Ultima64 Don't you mean Andamiro? Because THEY manufactured the cabinets for ITG 2.

  • they need to hire the guys at roxor games to make their pads next time

  • i always wondered if its possible to throw away those crap o pads and get some real japan ddr pads, the metal ones not the wooden ones...its just sad how konami satisfies the japan players but hey konami, we in america would like the same!!! e-amuse too!!!

  • I agree with you completely.

Dave & Busters here in NYC has one of these and I couldn't get higher than a D on songs I AA with no problem in Extreme, SN and SN2 at the Chinatown Fair or Toys R Us.

Similar thing happened in Akihabara, Tokyo.

If I had to guess, I'd blame my feet. I'm a size 12!

    Perfect example: SONG=Blue Impulse, ELSEWHERE=AA, THIS CABINET=Failed

    Huh?!?!?

  • That's the DDR X Machine? Er... not liking the new look. Anyhow, yeah, when it comes to making dance pads that break alot, and have crap response time, Konami's elite at making those. I play SN and SN2 over here. So far SN has fantastic response time, but UP arrows miss fire and lock up alot on both side. SN2 Just has crap response time. DDR's been around for the longest time now, but still haven't perfected the pads yet which is sad. I seriously miss the perfect ITG pads. Go to hell Konami.

  • Just watched it again, and yeah... R1 is epically failing on those pads. Can you even bracket with the new design?
