I like this show's style/aesthetic. The wholesome 1950's. I wish we could have some new shows made to look this way. Not for satire or irony, but simply for the straightforward communication of ideas. Reminds me of old Disney films.

Pirates are lazy bastards that would rather cut a throat than get a job. Who could possibly believe they would go to so much trouble to bury treasure so that nobody could recover, not even themselves ?
I am going to stick with the theory that this was built as a water purification filter and was designed to flood but fell into disrepair after a long period of disuse and was forgotten about. Treasure BAH greedy fools will believe anything.
