Clearly, you are a fucking retard, you should get that checked out too.

You're still looking at this all wrong. Clearly, you have some higher risks or a history of health problems if they want to charge that much for you. If you almost had a heart attack when you heard how much it costs to get insurance, you should probably get that checked out.
That 1000 a month isn't going to come out of this air... it's going to come out of other people's pockets. How dare you bully them into paying for a service you can't afford.

Your health is your #1 asset, and sorry to say, but the Republicans, by blocking access to affordable **non-profit** healthcare options for everyone, ARE putting a price on our lives. They are saying to America, "If you are poor, you are not worth saving, so DIE QUICKLY." Without health you have nothing, if you are really sick, you can't work, you can't study, you can't eat, c'mon what is worth more than your health? A war in Iraq? No, I don't think so, priorities are backwards here.

My wife and I gross about $50K/year, we are a family of four, we can't afford $1,000/mo for insurance, esp. when the insurers constantly lie and reject claims, they hold up the process on purpose to make more money, BECAUSE THEY CAN! So, we have no health insurance, and my son and younger brother are on Medicaid Plan D, which we end up paying for many things out of pocket anyway, Plan D does not cover durable medical equp. we need for my son's legs. I don't mind paying but it has to be fair.

@undermyvoodoo22: In NJ, if I were to purchase a plan on my own for my family, and I have quotes here, the cheapest rate I got was from United Healthcare, $1200/mo for a family, high deductible, etc. The most expensive quote I got, Blue Cross & Blue Shield.... are you sitting down??? $8,000/mo, I am not kidding, I thought the lady on the phone was joking, I almost had a heart attack. I asked her to repeat it, she said again, $8,000/mo just for premium, I just hung up the phone at that point.

Sorry, my mistake, the surcharge that HOSPITALS bill good insurance subscribers, like Blue Cross & Blue Shield, those surcharges are supposed to offset the financial loss a hospital takes when non-insured patients can't pay their bills, Charity Care is paid for by taxpayers because the states set aside money for that, they budget "How many ppl will walk into ER's this year." Hey, here's an idea, why don't we insure them BEFORE they walk into the ER?!? Isn't that crazy or what?!?
-
@undermyvoodoo22: You are paying for it now, you are paying for it TODAY! Everytime an indigent walks into an ER, YOU PAY FOR IT, it's called Hospital Assistance Fund, AKA "Charity Care" and ppl that have good insurance have a surcharge in their premiums that pays for the uninsured and underinsured... so what are you talking about "We'll end up paying up the ass" YOU ALREADY DO! Give us working folk a chance to pay for ourselves, is what we are asking, we don't want charity, we want FAIRNESS.
Lieberman votes every year to give Israel OUR billions so their citizens can enjoy the finest GOVERNMENT health care and then SPITS on Americans and votes to kill 44,000 Americans who are poor!
He loves Israel but HATES Americans and America.
He needs to be impeached.
