@Dadutta I was born and raised, served in Russia, temple married, the whole bit. My kids and I are out now, but it took years for me to see the side of the barn that I was starring at in clear focus. Be patient with those you talk to here. They may see the light. They have to peel back a lot of black curtains and veils away from their eyes...it takes a while...

@MaryMarchNewell well said. they can't be argued with, but instinctually and by necessity resort to deception and doublemindedness. I say, don't bother with them, just try to keep your own from joining them...

The battle will never be about getting existing Mormons to leave the 'Church' (even though significant numbers ARE leaving ...Google "I left the LDS" and/or "I used to be a Mormon" for better stats)..it will always be about keeping the people you know from falling into the trap.
Get your Bibles out and study up on the issues where Mormonism clearly disagrees with God's word, the Bible and existing Revelation.
Get to know the Pearl and D&C.
Be ready to defend against the lies of the LDS.

I had to go to fairlds to get the whole scoop.
No matter what Webster's or the Bible calls a "Generation" the LDS apologists are calling it whatever it takes to make the prophecy fit.
So far the LDS has stretched a "Generation" out to include the person who had the revelation and those who were alive with him plus their children and grand-children and virtually anyone who has ever read the prophecy/revelation.
In Mormonthink a "Generation" is whatever suits the the current leadership's whims.

@sirhood2 explain to them that most Christians believe in Jesus=God, where as Mormons believe in Jesus=older brother.... They can't argue with that... when you just say they believe in a different Jesus they just get defensive and don't know what you mean. You need to clearly spell it out for them. Also their Jesus is a middleman god, with a whole line of superior gods above him. Where as most Christians believe there's just ONE god.

@AnonEmouseMan There's no worse deception, or harder one to deliver yourself from than to deceive yourself!

They still expect to build a Temple there.
Nice try AnonEmouseMan.Twisting Scripture in typical LDS fashion.
Please see the links in the above video description box.
Your argument may confound the biblically illiterate, but it goes no further.
