papillary thyroid cancer. my lymphnodes din n tinanggal. and para pag gumaling n ung sugat parang guhit lng ung nsa leeg ko sinundan nila ung guhit tlg sa leeg ko..that was april. total thyroidectomy.. tapos last feb2011 inoperahan ulit ako sa same scars ulit pero hindi n staples.. my mga lymphnodes n ng positive kaya inoperahan ulit aq... sa Istituo Europeo di oncologia nmn ako sa italy

Staples nga po ba yan or stitch? Mine was done at Manila Doctors. No pain on the surgery area at all. Last year, Sept. 02 lang. After ng surgery, did your condition improve? Hyperthyroidism po ba or thyroid cancer?

ask the doctor bout ur situation they know what to do.. trust them.. coz if you dont you'll always feel nervous. just relax and think positive. ive had my surgery Last April 6 hours in operatng room, sleeping. dont think of pain ... it will pass ...

SWEET MOTHER OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN!!!

I just came home from a total thyroid removal, and the following morning i saw my incision, it looked as if the doc just made a line using pen on my neck. And it was only done here in the Philippines, I just had it done in tertiary hospital near where we live. The doc told me I was a bleeder, everytime they;re about to move a part of the thyroid, blood starts oozing.

I would tell her that she could make up a cool\funny story about the scar. Tell people that someone cut her head off, but she's so tough that she just sewed it back on real quick and went back to what she was doing.

Apparently, the patient in the video had not only a Total Thyroidectomy, but had her lymph nodes removed too. I guess this is why the incision is so huge. My daughter just had a Total Thyroidectomy and has only a 4 inch incision and no staples. Good surgeons do not use staples, they take the time to use sutures.

Why such a large cut with staples? I have the same cancer had a total tyroidectomy in July 2010 and my scar is less then 2" and was closed with steri strips.
