This passage (Matt. 10:34) is about the Lord Jesus Christ and faith in him alone. The sword & trouble in the text refer to those who accept Jesus as Lord and those who don't - it cuts (causes division) and hurts when those we love don't believe but we are to stay strong in the faith no matter what. The message of Jesus is and always has been about faith (Eph. 2:8 & 9; Heb. 11) and love for one another. Find a church that teaches this message and you'll find real peace and joy.

Untrue! He got his freedom such as it was at 5 years old. Lincoln didn't abolish slavery which you didn't know. In fact, I would call your attention to the Emacipation proclaimation which freed slaves he didn't have power to free but the ones he kept in bondage were the ones that didn't suceed from the union. If you want a reference I would suggest you look up Norfork Va where the slaves weren't freed. I think you need to go back to school.
