Once considered a lowly vegetable, turnips are rich in history and flavor. The Produce Lady discusses preparation tips (ever consider adding to mashed potatoes?), nutrition facts and background facts of the turnip. Enjoy!

  • nice vid. i always heard smaller turnips taste better?

  • @t900badbot Thanks for the question! There is some truth to the smaller is better logic. Turnips that are no more than three inches in diameter (smaller roots) typically are sweeter and more tender. That's not to say that turnips bigger or smaller in size are better quality, it just depends on what suits your tastes!
