Yeah? Read a book. Kennedy avoided nuclear annihilation with the Cuban Missile Crisis. He wanted all troops out by 65 and they did take out nearly 10,000 troops the year of 64. Nixon in turn escalated the war, pulled out much later than he said he would, did illegal wiretapping and was forced to resign or be impeached.
