The Saudi regime acts as a proxy for the United States in Bahrain by helping the Manama government crack down on Bahraini demonstrators, an activist tells Press TV. "It's heartbreaking just hearing the sounds of (Bahraini) people being stomped on by the Saudis," said Don DeBar, an anti-war activist from New York, in an interview with Press TV on Friday. "They (Saudis) are really [acting] as a proxy for the United States." Bahraini protesters have been holding demonstrations against the ruling Al Khalifa family since February 2011 and they hold King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa responsible for the death of the demonstrators during the uprising.
