though his dvds are on the expensive side, i think just listening to him speak and explain things is worth every penny, not to mention you get some great drumming as well....

THANK GOD. This is why I love neil. I cant stand reading modern drumming and hearing over and over to "play to the music" "never over play" and "keep it simple, not too many fills now." Fuck that. Neil never did that shit and hes one of the best. Its one thing to play to the music its another to only do 4 fills a song.

@MADdrummer971 Neil has been a great motivator for me & my drumming over the years! I posses none of his skill or style in my own play'n But, i have always had instilled in me this kind of mind set when i play. And yes sadly Buddy passed in April of 1987. He was billed as "the world's greatest drummer" even today!
