I am watching Portland Timbers - FC Dallas as we speak from my computer in Sweden (2-0 at the moment) and i am very thrilled with your fans. Are they even comparable with the rest of the MLS teams? I havent seen an MLS game with such great fans, not even close. You guys rock. Plus, your green and white just like my favourite team in Sweden, Hammarby. You should search them out on YouTube!

The difference is however is that Portland and Seattle fans love THE GAME itself, not just the cheering part. Canada has no history with world football, no international success in it, and only 8 players in MLS are from Canada. The reason why people from Toronto act so ga-ga over soccer is because #1, they want to establish an identity different from Americans. And #2, they love going south of the border to start shit. Hooliganism simply isn't your culture, so stop acting like it is.
