Matthew Ashford Talks 'The Bay' and His Return to 'Days of our Lives'

Matthew Ashford returns to NBCapos;s "Days of our Lives" this September when his character, Jack Deveraux, finds himself back in Salem facing many changes and new challenges. Soap Opera Network spoke with Ashford at the "DAYS" studio about his return to the soap, his work on the web based soap "The Bay" and the most pirated movie of 2008.

Given that a fire engine has a certain prominence in one of Jack & Jennifer' s classic scenes from back in the day I found it highly humorous and fitting for the fire truck sirens here. Sort of like introducing and reminding us of those great moments from J&J you could say! lol! :)

@PerfectParticiple Have to admit, I'm really curious to see what excuse- ahem, "reasons" the writers come up with for Jack's whole taking off/ finding himself thing; ever since Jenn came back & has been going on about it, it just always sounded so ~unlike him.. but really, what I'd love to see MOST is him & *Frankie* reunited- their bromance was EPiC! ;P So sick of all the Jennifer angst.. I miss when the three of them had snarky, bickering adventures together, ahaha.. more of *that*, please! XD

Interesting that Matt says that Jack has dealt with a loss....but then he quickly switches the topic to Jennifer and Abigail as to not give away the story! Dang! Can't wait for September 23rd.
