We want to paint the ceramic tile floor in the powder room (where there is very little traffic).
i tested my paint skills on the tile under the fridge with some left over melamine paint that i used to paint our kitchen cabinets. Using a few other colors, I was able to do some really cool marble effects and made our ugly shiny white tile look like really amazing.
Is it ok to use melamine paint for this type of paint job? And should I sand the tile before I paint it?
Thanks very much!

A great primer is XIM, its a high adhesion bonding primer that, it does not smell as bad as oil primer and it is much more durable.

I have painted grout before, the owner did not like the color he chose so I painted it with a special paint specifically designed for grout. Charged him an extra three hundred dollars for it.

You should have used tile paint, it is suitable for kitchens and bathrooms and is mould resistant and also does not hold brush marks.

Thank you so much for this video, it was exactly what I needed to paint the ceramic tile in front of my fireplace! :)
Painting tile on a countertop or table is not a good idea. Maybe a backsplash or areas that dont see much traffic is ok. Your counter will look worse after a few weeks of traffic than it did before you painted it.

I completely agree. The only time it really ends well is around a fireplace or area where there is no traffic.
