I didn't realize how much dispute this simple video would incite. My opinion is that we, as Americans, should just wait it out and put our faith in who we have, even if not everyone likes him. Recognize that this recession is expected to be a short-term situation--8 of ten recessions in the past 60 years have lasted fewer than 12 months.

It truly is a sad day when many unemployed and underemployed Americans, even for a moment, have to ponder the possibility of having to return to such a meager existence. Both political parties have sold working class Americans down the river, and I for one no longer claim to belong to either one.

The video is a little confused - these pictures are not from Hoover's administration. These still pictures are all from the mid to late 1930s... there are NOT Hoovervilles. These are pictures from during Franklin D. Roosevelt's administration (the effects of his "New Deal"?)
