I have the DVD boxset of this, & insist on a Perrin marathon session once a year. This had it all - catchphrase comedy, black comedy, farce, an occasional bit of slapstick, the best possible casting, Leonard Rossiters 200% performances which in turn raised everyone elses game and David Nobb's supremely astute observations on modern society and the rat race. Much comedy of the last 3 decades should be indebted to this series - comedy doesn't & probably won't ever come any better than this.

wasnt there a re make with Martin Clunes as Reggie, I dont know why they bothered it will never be as good as the original with Leonard Rossiter.
