Gravestones and final resting place of the last crew of the Confederate submarine H. L. Hunley at Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston County, South Carolina.
How and when were the remains of the crew of the H.L. Hunley found? are the graves empty? Those man were braver then brave to go down in the ocean cramped up in that little thing....It was a death trap for sure!....They were Great Americans and I'm honored by their service and sacrifice, even though they were fighting their own countrymen!
I had the honor of visiting the grave site of the Hunley crew last week. It was very awe inspiring to stand before their graves and think of the sacrifices they made . It was a very humble experience and I hope to go back again next year. Thanks for posting.
When they raised the hunley, anthropologist had to carefully find there remains, there gave are not empty though.
