first off what he does isn't horse whispering is natural horsemanship and second waving a flag or whatever it is, is called desensitizing getting the horse used to it, pressure and release, it shows how little you understand how horses think

Did you even watch the film? If so then go back and watch it again because Buck *never* condoned what that woman did. And sad to say it was "ok" to put that stallion down. I've worked with rank green broke horses (one that nearly killed me 10 yrs ago) that looked tame compared to that outlaw (a man killer in the making). What good would it do to further kick that woman while she was down? She knew & has to look at herself in the mirror.

Yes Buck is a great horseman but I don't agree with him telling that woman that it is ok to put down her stallion. She killed that horse and made it what it is. Horses are a reflection of who we are what we do. Buck, it is not ok what she did. You know this.

why fuck him/her? what they said is true.... its learning that something scary isnt really as scary as you thought it was... the flag thingy didnt hurt him so he can relax, so when something else scares him hes more likely to become relaxed instead of tensing up.

What makes him so weird? The fact that he can understand the horses? That he can get them to do what he wants without beating them? That he can see into their souls and understand what they want? He just knows how to open up his eyes and understand.
