After New Labour failed to get the ONS to cook the books enough for the last quarters figures, this time the ONS releases the GDP figures claiming the UK is out of recession by 0.1%.

That's good enough for New Labour to lie about their policies taking the UK out of recession, and by PURE co-incidence just before the general election.

The reality is the UK is still deep in recession, and thanks to the £2.5Trillion deficit that New Labour racked up and continues to rack up, will stay there for some time to come.

It took New Labour three quarters of rigging the statistics to show the UK went into recession, but only one quarters fiddled statistics to prove the UK is out of recession. This is bullsh1t !!!!

Look at your local high street, look at the traffic levels on the road, things are NOT good.

Audio break-up is from the Sky transmission, nothing to do with my end of the recording.

Recorded from Sky News, 26 January 2010.

  • the only reason we are out of recession is that an election is coming and that would look bad for labour,i think the figures are made up

  • @Burnit700 Amen

  • @realkingkado You have to laugh though, dont you. Unemployment going down is the funniest thing I have ever heard. You know that the newly unemployed are sitting around in 'class rooms' paid for by the Job centre being told how to write a CV and are then not unemployed because they are in 'TRAINING', so do not appear in the statistics.

  • @Acuity2k6 Not when inflation goes up by more than 1%. Dead cat bounce!

  • It hasn't actually grown....

  • And Santa clause is real

  • Not when nearly every economy has growth exceeding 1%.

  • o.1% is better than no%
